Ujamaa Community

What they do

Ujamaa Community Resource Team empowers indigenous pastoralist, agropastoral, and hunter-gatherer communities in Tanzania to protect their land and natural resources.

Collectively, they have secured over 1.7 million hectares of connected communal land beyond and between protected areas to date.

Their story has been brought to life by local creator Bad Mama Jama Films and photographer Arnold Peter Mugasha.
